Welcome!

Picture
The original watercolor and oil paintings of Jean Andrew are known for their quality of freshness and multi-hued range of color.  Jean loves to paint landscapes, seascapes, florals and island cottages.  Her travels to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Block Island, Bermuda, Jamaica and Sanibel Island greatly influence her work.

A native of Rhode Island, Jean has been a student of the arts for over 30 years.  She has studied under the late New England artist, Bob Pomfret, a student of the late Edgar Whitney, and credits him with her continued success.  She has also studied with Nancy Gaucher Thomas and Betty Dunlop.

Jean has been exhibiting for several years throughout New England, New York and Florida.  Some of her favorite shows are in Westport, CT, Wickford, RI Portland, ME,  Sanibel Island and Naples, FL.

Jean's work is included in private and corporate collections across the U.U. and Europe.  Actor Anthony Hopkins, former NBC President Bob Wright, Fleet Bank Pres. Terrence Murray, and former Boston Celtics owners Dana and Paul Gaston are among these collectors of Jean Andrew originals.

Jean is a member of several art associations.  These include the Wickford Art Association, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and the Newport Art Museum.  She has won numerous awards in various juried art shows.
Her work exhibits a refreshing approach and Jean's many contributions to the art world are appreciated by everyone.
